Hello,
Do you have any info on your Richard or Verdun Cecil, as far as where they
were born?
I Have Cecil's from Illinois who also left home as did the son, a bit earlier
than yours. My Grandmother was born in 1900 (her father left home) ... As
did his father who was from Illinois & his name was "Vernon" ... Earlier
than
yours - but the same name and the area is a bit suspicious don't you think?
Grandmother Cecil's husband was named William (son of Vernon) she was the
youngest of 8 children - he left home before she was born in Kansas. His father
Vernon left Illinois and returned to South Carolina or Tennessee and left his wife
and children in Illinois. I also have a story in my files on someone burning
to death by a stove fire, but it was a wife of I believe the name was Jake
Andrest ... She may have been a Cecil, will have to pull my files. I have been
searching these guys for 20 years now with no luck, who knows, maybe we can
connect somehow. Regards, Shirley in Denver
