For the record, I do not claim to have any knowledge of the parents of John
Baptist Cissell who came from MD to KY. I have not ever claimed that his
father is Matthew.
I have a "theoretical" placement for John Baptist in my database that
connects him back to John Cissell the immigrant, but I do not "advertise"
this link nor put it on my web page, because I don't want to get
credit/blame for what is pure speculation on my part. My descendant chart
on FTM starts with John Baptist, not further back, because I do not know
who his parents are.
In my opinion, all possible parents given on the various genie lists and
web sites for John Baptist Cissell, who married Ann and Rebecca, and who
came from MD to KY, are speculative at this point in time. Perhaps one day
enough circumstantial evidence will be put together to attribute John
Baptist to a set of parents, but it hasn't happened yet.

william cissell b. aug. 10, 1767 should read died daviess co., Ind. or
Martin Co., Indiana. These two counties are next to each other. I dont
believe William died in ky. ?
General Question: Why do you believe John Babtist Cissell's father was
william...Mary McCulley supports the theory that it was Matthew. There is
much speculation on this subject. I would like to get the facts. Know he
ties into the Md. family but just where?
