Subject: Thomas Cecil the engraver
Hello Melissa,
My line is John Cecil m. to Elizabeth Sollers. I have another Cecil line
through* William Cecil, Lord Burghley's (1520-1598) sister- Elizabeth Cecil
m. Sir Robert Wingfield of Upton, England. Would believe these two branches
merge with Henry W. Cecil, (a greatgrandson ofJohn and Elizabeth Sollers)
m. to Rebecca Claypool ( 6th ggranddaughter of Sir Robert Wingfied and
Elizabeth Cecil.) I would be very interested in any information you may have
on Thomas Cecil, the Engraver who was the son of Thomas Cecil b. 1542-1623,
who was the son of* Richard Cecil (William and Elizabeth's father). I have
a partical copy of "The Cecil Family of Maryland" by Walter V. Ball,
however, he did't know of any connection between William Cecil 1665 and
Thomas Cecil the Engraver.
Neither of my Cecil familys were Catholics.
Love to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Debra Clark
