Elmer Ellworth Cecil is shown on pages 47 and 67 in "300 Years of Cecil's in
America" by Alta Cecil Koch, published in 1971. I have used this book as reference
in my research, and have verified and corrected some items, through census, cemetery,
marriage, death and various records. This book centers on the Cecil's that settled in
North Carolina and where they branched off from there, Alta's direct line went to
Missouri, so she had quite a bit of information in her book on the Missouri Cecil's.
My direct line runs from Phillip Cecil 1792 - 1861, brother of John Ball Cecil and your
Benjamin Cecil.
I have attempted to bring Alta's book up to date on all these lines, which of course
is always a work in progress. I hope this has been of help to you, and if you need more
information, please e-mail me directly.
