The will of James (X) Cissell of St. Mary's Co., in the province of
Maryland, planter, executed 30 May 1785, witnessed by Rhoday Cissell,
William Cissell and John Bailey, nominating "my loving daughter Rachel
Cissell" to be Executrix, was proved by Rhoday Cissell alone on 15 Sept.
1785 in St. Mary's Co. The testator devised as follows:
"...item�� I give and beneath unto my son Ignatius Cissell one shilling
sterling.
"....item unto my son Bennett Cissell one shilling sterling
"....item I give and beneath unto my grandaughter Eleanor Cissell one
shilling sterling
"....item unto my loving daughters hereafter named Vizt.� Racheal
Cissell, Anastatia Cissell, Rebecca Cissell, and Susanne Cissell, and my
three loving sons Vizt.�� Francis Cissell, Barnard Cissell, and Peter
Cissell, all my personal estate, after my just debts are paid to be
equally divided amonst them.
