No, its not a dumb question!
I need to look for Y-chromosome data. The Y-chromosome is passed
directly from father to son, usually without any change. Accordingly, you are
correct in that I do need connections only through the Male Decendants. (The
Y-chromosome is not passed to daughters.)
So, if you know of any direct male lines I would like to hear of them.
