It would appear you are actually referencing an entry from a family record
that records the death of James Boydston, identifying him as the father of
Priscilla Cecil. The family record of Samuel and Jane (Chrisman) Cecil
records Samuel's birth and records him as the son of Benjamin S. and
Priscilla Cecil. As far as I know, that's the best means we have of
documenting the fact that they were married, or in other words that Benjamin
Sollers Cecil was married to Priscilla Boydston, daughter of James Boydston.
The only "old letter" I know about would be the one that Judge Beatty Cecil
sent to Virkus and Company in order to include his family in the COMPENDIUM
OF AMERICAN GENEALOGY. He outlined his lineage, including Benjamin S. and
Priscilla Cecil.
I would refer any interested parties to my posting on the BOYDSTON GENFORUM
site regarding the identification of Benjamin Sollers Cecil and his wife,
Priscilla Boydston.
I am a great-great-great-great-great grandson of Benjamin Sollers Cecil and
Priscilla (Boydston) Cecil through their son, Samuel Cecil (via Samuel's
second marriage to Jane Chrisman).
