As several subscribers to this list are descendants of Benjamin Sollers Cecil
and his wife, Priscilla (Boydston) Cecil, I am posting the following query.
I apologize to the other subscribers as it relates to the Boydston family and
ask for your indulgence. Thank you.
Various published genealogies of the BOYDSTON family claim to have outlined
the earlier generations of that family in Maryland. Sometimes
contradictory, one published genealogy identifies Sabra POLK as the wife of
William Boydstone/Boydston/Boylston (b.ca 1680 in Dorchester Co., MD). I
seek to learn of any primary sources which either confirm or refute this
identification and if confirmed, the identity of her parents. Your response
is appreciated.
It should be noted that the abovementioned William and Sabra (Polk) Boydston
are sometimes identified as the parents of David Boydston who is said to have
married Mahala Snow. They in turn are said to be the parents of James
Boydston, father of Priscilla (Boydston) Cecil. I would refer any in
terested parties to my postings to the Boydston GenForum site regarding what
is known and provable regarding the ancestry of James Boydston.
