As I read my papers further, I guess what I have actually was what you posted on line.
However, I did find a message from gailshutch(a)aol.com, and I'd bet that's no
longer valid, but she gave me this info;
Hazel Cecil, b. abt. 1779, Frederick Co. MD; d. 24 Mar 1859, Harrison Co., OH
Delilah Ball, b. 1779 Frederick Co., MD; d. 21 May 1849, Harrison Co., OH
CHILDREN;
Amon Cecil, 1797; Rachel, 1799; Anna, 1806; Teresa, 1812; Hazel Jr., 1814; Matilda, 1814;
Jeremiah, 1816; Delilah,____
Hazel died without will, but the petitioners for the probate were: Hazel Jr., James
Miller, Deliah J. Miller, Anna Hurless, Isaac Hurless, Susannah Shildts.
Claimants to estate were Hazel Jr. and wife Sara
Alexander Heavlin and wife Terry, John Jones and wife (un named), Isaac Hurless and wife
Matilda, Charles White, Jeremiah Cecil, Isaac Schildts and Susannah, James Miller and
Deliah, heirs of Amon Cecil and heirs of Rachel S. Wycoff.
LuAnn, it's too bad I don't have an actual copy of the probate, but evidently it
is available from the courthouse. Gail typed this to me in an email in 2003, and I've
copied it exactly as she had it. I hope this will help you, but I don't have any
other material to share. Let me know if you get the proper certification for the DAR.
I'd be interested to know.
Sandy
