I have Colonel Thomas Leftwich born 1740 Bedford

Oct 1783 the same as
you, but now I start to difffer. Their daughter
Catherine Green Leftwich
was born Nov 1, 1800 in Caroline County, VA and
died
1855. Catherine
married James Callaway Brown on March 27, 1817.
I have Captain John L. Leftwich who married
Susannah
Smith. They have a
Catherine who was born 1797 in Bedford, VA and she
married John Witten
August 8, 1816 in Bedford County.
I must have received this from someone since I
last
corresponded with
you, because my last note says I do not have a
John
B. Witten.
Can you check this out - thanks Nancy
I'm not sure who's right. I certainly could have made
an error.
I do think the chronology of your data is suspicious,
although not impossible. If Catherine was born
in1800, then her father Thomas would have been 60
years old and her mother Gincey would have been 45.
I'm posting this on the Cecil mail list, in case one
of that group can help clear the discrepancy up.
