The only reference I find on Philip Jr. d. 1803, born to Phillip b.
3-28-1692 d. 3-9-1733 and Elizabeth in P.G.C., MD. Other children born
to Phillip and Elizabeth are Susannah b. 1712, Elizabeth b. ? , Mary b.
1716, John b. 1721 d. 1778, William b. 1728 d. 1807 and Joshua ca.
1730 d. 1814. In the book on Page 11, I quote, "Of the above family of
PHILLIP CECIL, the sons PHILLIP JR., JOHN, AND JOSHUA, have been dealt
with in the book THE CECIL FAMILY OF MARYLAND WITH ALLIED BALL FAMILIES
by Walter V. Ball, published 1961. Since this fine genealogy is
available in many large libraries over the United States we will not
include those lines and descendants here. We will instead concern
ourselves with the descendants of 3-13 WILLIAM 1728-1807. this William
is well documented by Maryland records in Mr. Balls' book, however, most
of William's children moved to North Carolina and that segment of the
family has not, unfortunately, been adequately or accurately recorded.
We will deal with some of the descendants of William Cecil 1728 - 1807
who migrated to North Carolina and from thence dispersed to other parts
of the country."
I have not been able to get a copy of the above mentioned book, so I am
afraid I can be of no further help on Phillip Jr. I am sending this
reply to the List so others will know what line this book covers.
Cheers,
Linda Cox

Does it talk about why Joshua left for Ohio around 1805 with his
grandchildren? Kinsey Berry Cecil's kids went with him and my wife is
related to Philip Cecil Jr.
