This is in reply to the posting by Doreen L. CARLSON (prcdlc(a)pacbell.net) to
the Fayette Co., IL, list earlier today titled "Hurricane Twp. Cemetery."
As mentioned in previous correspondence, Smith's sister Emilia B. "Emily"
SEARS HICKS was my ggg-grandmother, and I am a distant cousin of Smith's
wife Isabell M. CARLOCK (d/o Isaac CARLOCK/CARELOCK, George W.
CARLOCK/CEARLOCK, probably David CARLOCK, Frederick Cornelius CARLOCK, David
GERLACH/CARLOCK, Hans GERLACH).
A photograph of Emily SEARS HICKS can be found at the following site:

I have a copy of the book "Fayette County, Illinois, Cemetery Inscriptions,
Vol. I," publised by The Decatur Genealogical Society, 1969, second printing
1975. I do not find either Smith or Isabell listed in that book. This book
is still available for purchase through the following site:

Thank You to all who replied with request earlier re: Bingham.
Does anyone have listing of burials for Hurricane Twp. Cemeteries. Or,
maybe
Bingham has Cemetery? Still looking for Burial place of Isabell
"Carlock" SEARS, died 1925, and husband Smith R. SEARS, who died 1927 or as
IRAD has 1929-02-04.
I did find a Cemetery website, but it seems about 5 cemeteries cannot be
accessed
now from Fayette County.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Doreen
