Hi Susan
E.Wilson Cearlock and wife Emma were my great-grandparents and they lived on
the hill above Oak Valley Church, where they raised all their
children....please let me know if you need any more information....the other
day when I was in the area at the Dunaway Family Reunion held at Marriah
campgrounds I visited the grave site of my Cearlock and Dunaway relatives
buried at Craig Cemetery and noticed that Isom's wife Idola who died a year
or two ago was not buried there or else it had not been engraved on the
stone...do you know anything about this....

This is in response to the following reply which I received from
Garey
CEARLOCK yesterday in response to my recent queries to this list. After
receiving Garey's reply, I went back through some correspondence which I
received from Carolynne CEARLOCK in 1980, and indeed found the information
Garey mentions. Carolynne listed E. Wilson CARLOCK, b. 1879, as the seventh
child of Henry Alexander CARLOCK and Lucinda MERRIMAN. In turn, she listed
Henry A. CARLOCK as the ninth child of George W. CARLOCK and Rachel LANDERS.
Indeed, Carolynne listed 11 children for E. Wilson CARLOCK and Emma SANDERS,
with the eighth being Isom and the eleventh being Ruth (1921 - 1928).
I am in the process of entering this and other information from my files
into my
database at this time, and will be periodically updating the report
on my home page titled "Genealogy Report: Descendants of Hans GERLACH".

You asked about the lineage of CEARLOCK, E. Wilson, wife Emma, dau. Ruth
and
CEARLOCK, Isom W. who are buried in the Craig Cem. They are listed
under the surname of Carlock. E. Wilson is Elias Wilson CARLOCK and Isom
W. is E. Wilson and Emma's son.
Now regarding Sarah LANDERS and Jacob LANDERS. We know who Jacob was but
not
Sarah. I'm just starting to enter the Landers into my files. I'll keep
an eye out for this Sarah (b. 1790 d. 2 Jul 1855) and also for a S. and F.
Landers who had the infant male (unknown name) bd. in the Wright Cem.
