This is in reply to the following e-mail which I received today from Bonnie MILLER
(rlmiller(a)qosi.net) of Ephrata, WA.
I just checked my home page. I'm not sure what report you were looking at, but if you
check the report titled "User Home Page Genealogy Report: Descendants of
CARLOCK", generation 5, person 34 James Robert "Robert" CEARLOCK, you will
see all 3 wives listed, as well as 4 children from his first marriage, 3 children from his
second marriage, and 4 children from his third marriage. I have a couple of very light
photos of James, Izetta, and all of James' daughters which I someday hope to post on
my home page.
If you have a copy of your mother-in-law's obituary and have not already done so, I
would encourage you to post it on the following site:
http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/hil/HillObits. Let me know if you do post the
obituary, as I would like to enter some of the information into my database. You can see
examples of some CEARLOCK obituaries that I have posted at the following site:
http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/surnames/c/e/CEARLOCK/obituaries.
For additional CEARLOCK resources, including information about subscribing to the free
CEARLOCK mailing list, see the following site or the related links section of my home
page:

Dear Sue, My name is Bonnie Miller. I live in Ephrata, WA. Recently at my
mother-in-laws funeral the "cousins" got into a discussion on how they are all
related. There are some double connections and some ancestors with two or three spouses
so things get rather tangled. I notice in your James Robert Cearlock (son of Abraham) you
have only two wives. From our records there was a third wife between Melvina and Izetta.
Her name was Frances Wolf. They had three children. Thursey Mae, Ethel C., and Bertha A.
Thursey Mae was my mother-in-laws mother. Born Oct. 11, 1856, she married Ira Hill.
They had 5 children. Archie Oral, Robert Otto, (both died as children) Opal Frances
(deceased) Mabel Beaulah (my m-i-law)(deseased) and Pansey Irene. Thursey Mae died in the
influenza pendemic in 1919. Ira brought his three daughters to Wenatchee, Wa. in 1920,
built a home and never remarried. My mother-in-law was married in the house and except
for a few years, when they were first married 67 years ago, she and her husband Ellis
Miller lived in that house. She passed away last week.
I notice when I enter Thursey's birth date that my geneology program throws a flag
that her father would have been only 5 years old when she was born(this is the date that
you have in your records.) Abraham and Cynthia were married about 1927 and James Robert
was born in 1851 according to your records. I'm wondering if they would have waited
30 years to have children? But then the world family tree has Abraham marrying when he
was 4. I have saved this family till last to work on because every time I start I get
dizzy. Being so far away from any records doesn't make it easy. My dream vacation is
to go sit for hours in dusty old courthouses and look up dead relatives. Weird, HUH? Let
me know what your take is on this new branch on the family tree.
Bonnie
