This is a follow-up to my previous postings titled “CARLOCK and CEARLOCK
Families of Allen Co. and Warren Co., KY.”
The David CARLOCK listed on the 1810 census for Warren Co., KY, is David
CARLOCK/CARELOCK (b. ca. 1739, probably VA) (s/o Frederick CARLOCK/CARELOCK,
David GERLACH/CARLOCK, Hans Peter GERLOCH/GERLACH), whose son George W.
CARLOCK/CEARLOCK (b. ca. 1779, NC) was the progenitor of the CEARLOCK family
of Fayette Co., IL, and the CURLOCK family of Jefferson Co., IL. David and
his descendants were not included in the book “History of the Carlock
Family,” by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929.
