Following is the text for the obituaries of Marjorie Grace CEARLOCK LOWREY, her husband
Raymond H. LOWREY, and their daughter Judy K. LOWREY KNOX. Based on information found in
Marjorie's obituary, I believe her to be a daughter of Gorden Luveance CEARLOCK and
Attia BURGE of Fayette Co., IL.

"Marjorie Lowrey
Marjorie G. Lowrey, 80, Topeka, died Friday, June 1, 2001, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born July 30, 1920, near Filmore, Ill. She moved to Topeka many years ago.
Mrs. Lowrey was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
She married Raymond H. Lowrey on Feb. 8, 1942, in Wichita. He survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Larry R. Lowrey, Ronald L. Lowrey, Richard D. Lowrey
and Dal H. Lowrey, all of Topeka; a daughter, Judy K. Knox, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters,
Clarice Thomas, Las Vegas, and Beulah Hyatt, Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 19
great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel. Burial will be in
West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lowrey will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at
the funeral home, where visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead
Road, Topeka, 66604."

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Judy K. Lowrey Knox, 59, Kansas City, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 29,
2002, at her home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Topeka, Mrs. Knox was a member of the New Community Church
in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Knox, at home; a daughter, Tammy Hoagland, Kansas City,
Mo.; a son, Troy Knox, Kansas City, Mo.; her father, Raymond Lowrey; four brothers, Larry
Lowrey, Ronnie Lowrey, Dick Lowrey and Dal Lowrey; and four grandchildren."

"Raymond H. Lowrey
Raymond H. Lowrey, 87, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005 at Midland Hospice
House from complications following heart surgery. Mr. Lowrey was born Sept. 30, 1917 in
Greenfield, Mo., the son of John T. and Cora Louise Lowrey. He moved with his family to
Topeka in 1932. Mr. Lowrey was an electrician from 1952 until his retirement in 1983. He
was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, LU 226. He was an
avid outdoorsman. He was an honorary member of Topeka Bowhunters Inc. and was well known
by area fishermen for the custom fishing rods he made for family and friends. He was
married Feb. 8, 1942, to Marjorie Grace Cearlock. He was preceded in death by his wife in
2000, and daughter Judy K. Knox, in 2001. Survivors include his sons: Larry Lowrey, Ron
Lowery, Richard Lowrey, and Dal Lowrey and his wife, Karen, all of Topeka; and son-in-law,
Tom Knox, of Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren,12 great-grandchildren, and tw o
great-great-grandchildren.!
Mr. Lowrey will lie in state after 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel,
where the family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m.
Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka. Interment will be
in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions in his honor may be sent to Midland
