LUCILLE CEARLEY HENDERSON of Selmer, 86, died Jan. 13, 2002 at her
residence. Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker and attended Selmer First
Baptist Church. She was the first to win the Miss McNairy County
Pageant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Anneva Pirtle
Cearley; her husband, Weldon Henderson; two brothers, Elvin Cearley and
Louie Cearley.
She is survived by two daughters, Jan Hailey and Ann Henderson, both of
Selmer. Her granddaughters are Amanda LeMay and Marian Hailey.
Services were held at 9 a.m. on Tues., Jan 15 at Shackelford Chapel in
Selmer, with Minister Max Walker officiating. Burial followed at Oak
Hill Cemetery in Selmer. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Selmer First Baptist Church Mission or Youth Fund, or the McNairy County
High School Alumni Association in care of Garland Johnson.
