Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County)

CAYWOOD--At the residence of James Shaw, south of Longmont, Monday, December 24, 1900, of
appendicitis and kidney trouble, John Caywood, aged 56 years.
Mr. Caywood was one of the old timers in Colorado, having come here in 1864. He has been
a farmer and miner. He leaves five sister and one brother, who were all present at the
funeral. The brothers and sisters are Mrs. Thomas Williams (Mr Williams also attended the
funeral) of Denver, Mrs. Ritchey of Loveland, Mrs. Rose,of Denver, Mrs. Hendren, of
Boulder, Mrs. W. B. Neeley of Longmont and Sam Caywood of Littleton.
The deceased was unmarried.
The remains were laid to rest in the Burlington cemetery.
