WALKER, John E. age 57, of Eaton, Ohio, died suddenly Tuesday, May
30, 2006 at his residence. Born on September 25, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of
the late Arthur W. "Bud" and Adelia Maxine (Kayler) Walker. He was a 1966 Eaton
High School graduate and from 1968 to 1972 served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam
Conflict. Since 1966 he has been an employee with Dayton Power and Light where he has been
the Senior Service Operator at the Eaton office. In July of 1977 he became a member of the
Eaton Fire Division. In February of 1990 he became a Lieutenant and in December of 1995 he
was made Captain. In October of 2001 he became the Assistant Fire Chief. In addition to
his parents he is preceded in death by a brother: Larry Arthur Walker in 1995. He is
survived by his wife of 33 years: Linda F.(Coblentz) Walker. Brother: David Allen Walker
of Eaton, Ohio and Sisters and Brother-in-law: Nancy and Jim McIntyre of Edinburg, Texas
and Janice Handley of Plain City, Oh!

Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2006
at The City of Eaton Fire Division Station # 2- 391 West Lexington Road- Eaton, Ohio with
the Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment with full military honors provided
by the Preble County Honor Guard will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the
Barnes Funeral Home- 220 East Main Street- Eaton, Ohio and one hour prior to the service
on Saturday at the fire station . Memorial contributions be made to the City of Eaton Fire
Division- P.O. Box 27- Eaton, Ohio 45320. Condolences may be sent to the family via the
