My grandfather's name was Clyde Caleb Caylor. I do not know the date of
his birth or death. My grandmother his second wife. Was a Gulsby. They
lived in Monroe County AL in the town of Uriah. My father, John Caleb
Caylor, was the baby born in 1923. He had 4 half brothers and I believe 3
half sisters and one sister. My grandfather died when my father was very
young around 1926 or so. One of my fathers uncles was named Major General
Caylor. I know that some of his family now live in Mt. Pleasant, SC as I
used to live in the area and have talked with them. I have some info on
the family, but not much. I know that a branch live in north west LA.
Also I know there are a lot of Caylors in the Knoxville TN area. Any new
info that you have would be appreciated. I am at the time working on a
job in central Mexico so I don't have ready access to my info but will be
home soon in NE FL. Would like to keep in contact. Also I have ran into
a John R. Caylor in Iran Jaya Indone!
sia. He was from the Pheonix AZ area.
