Joe was a good friend to my grandfather William Young in Indian Valley, Idaho. They were
both ranchers and raised cattle. Joe was born in West Virginia, his mother in Pennsylvania
and his father in Maryland. I have found Joe in the following census records:

Mother: Adda Smith his mother is a widow. She has had 4 children and only two are living.
She was born in Pennsylvania, her father in Virginia and her mother in Pennsylvania.
CAYLOR, JOSEPH (1910 U.S. Census)
IDAHO , WASHINGTON, INDIAN VALLEY

I do not know Joe's father's name or any of his family. At one time, he had family
members in Oakhurst, California. He is buried in the Indian Valley Cemetery in Indian
Valley, Adams County, Idaho. He died in 1969.
I have a picture of Joe with his dog Tip. It was taken at his place many years ago in
Indian Valley. The last time I saw him was in the early 60's. He was living in a large
canvas tent at White Licks, Idaho. I think it was his permanent home. There was a hot
springs at the campground. My father was named after Joe.
I hope this information helps someone.
