In the name of God Amen. I Thomas CAWOOD of Charles
County in the provanes of Maryland being sick and weak but in my proper
sound and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same I make my last
will and Testament Item First I Deliver my Spirit to God which gave it
me Item Secondly I Devise my body to be decently Buried at the
Discration of my Executtors.
I will and appoint my well beloved wife Ann CAWOOD and my well
beloved Son Stephan CAWOOD to be my whole and able Executors I will and
bequeath all my Land one tract called Long Thought containing two
hundred Acres and One other Tract called Addition to Long Thought
containing One hundred and ten acres to be Equilly divided between
my beloved Son Stephen CAWOOD and my beloved Son Benjamin FRISHWATER
and my Son Thomas CAWOOD to be Decided by some Honest Man, My Son
Stephen CAWOOD to have his first choice and Benjamin FRISHWATER his
next choice And Thomas CAWOOD the last choice the said Land to be
Devided with straight lines from Jordan Swamp to back Line. Item if
one of my Sons above mentioned Dies without a lawfull heir of his
Body his part of the Land Shall belong to the other two of my Sons. Item
if two of my Sons above named should die without lawfull heirs half
their parts shall belong and to be Equilly Divided amongst my beloved
Daughters that is to say Mary CAWOOD Susana FRISHWATER and Anna FRASHWATER and Elizabeth
CAWOOD Item the Surviving Son to have
the other part. Item I give and bequise [?] to my beloved wife Ann
CAWOOD one third of my moveable estate The other two thirds to be
equilly Divided amongst my three Sons and four Daughters above
mentioned. In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and
affix my seal this 15th day of april anno Domini 1766

Charles County Ssp 28th May 1766 came
Thomas DARNALL, John DARNALL and
James MOORE the three [?] subscribing witnesses
to the within will who being duly and solomnly
sworn on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God do
Depose and say that they saw Thomas CAWOOD the Testator Sign
and Seal the said will and heard him publish and Declare it to be
his last will and testament and that at the time of his so doing was
to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind and
memory and that they severally subscribed as witnesses to the said
will in the presence of the Testator and at his request.
