After the death of his first wife, Thomas Elias Armstrong married Miss
Sallie Lawrence in Brazos Co, Texas. They had five children: 1) Annie,
b. 8-19-1867, Wheelock, Texas, married R.E.L. Knight, Dallas, Texas,
5-28-1890; 2) William, b. 1869, d. 1870; 3) Volney, 4) Harvey; 5) Buck
Watts, b. 1877, d. 1878. Both of the little boys who died as infants are
buried in the family cemetery at Wheelock, Texas.
The children of R.E.L. and Annie Armstrong Knight are: Thomas Armstrong
Knight, b. 6-ll-1891; Mary Watts Knight, b. 2-16-1893; R.E.L. Knight,
Jr., b. 10-15-1894; Henry Coke Knight, b. 6-1-1896; Marian Knight, b.
4-5-1898;
Richard Knight, b. 8-7-1899; Elizabeth Knight, b. 5-27-1900 d.
10-19-1900.
