Richard Cavitt lst., came from Ireland, landed at Philadelphia and
settled in Paxtang
Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. See Egle's Notes and
Queries,, Page 390s, ,,Vol. 2. Second Series.
Richard Cavitt lst of Paxtang died prior to the taking of the first
census in 1790. His sons, John and Michael Whitley, were the
administrators of his estate. He was survived by his wife and daughter
and six sons, viz:
