My great great great grandmother was Susannah Cavit (b. 1789), the
daughter of Moses Cavit (b. 1740 c.), and the
granddaughter of Richard Cavit who died some time before 1768. Richard
was from PA. Moses moved to VA and
then to TN where he died. Susannah married William Shoemaker in TN
around 1789. Susannah died in AL. I am
interested in more information about the Cavits. I would like proof of
Susannah's parents. I was told that she was
Moses's daughter and she named one of her children Moses Cavit
Shoemaker. That is the only proof that she
was Moses daughter. Old Moses was married to Agnes Meetch. I would be
happy to share any information that
I have. Thanks, Kaye Calvert Walters
