Subject: The Big Snow Storm
Date: Sun, 26 Oct 1997 10:53:09 -0700
------IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT-------
Linclon, Nebraska received 14 inches of very wet snow over night last
night.
Power is out all over the city. Trees are down and folks are snowed
in.
Dale Schneider called and told us he didn't expect to have power restored
for at least a week. I suspect he's being a bit pessimistic and will be
pleasantly surprised when the power comes back on with a day or so.
The effect on the genealogical community is that no pages are accessible
and
no mail can be processed at any address or URL that includes any of
the
following domains:
dsenter.com
usgenweb.com
usroots.com
usigs.org
This does *not* affect Rootsweb, so the usgenweb-all mailing list is not
down. Any usgenweb pages located at
rootsweb.com are not affected by this
outage, either.
If you were already aware of this situation, please forgive me for
duplicating information for you. Please do think about who else may need
to
know and if they are not addressed in this message, please let them
know.
The world will not come to an end today, except in Lincoln, Nebraska, where
it is only on hold.
Enjoy your Sunday,
Jerry E Dill, CPA
