This Moses Cavett was the brother of Alexander Cavett. I believe that this
Moses died in 1802 in Knox County. Their folks out there that know more about
this family than I do. Maybe one of them can answer your question. What's
interesting to me is that several reports note that Moses Cavett was killed in
the battle of Kings Mountain. I can find no proof of that. I would like ask
this question:
Is this Moses Cavett the person who fought at Kings Mountain and did he come
to Knox County from Sullivan County, Tennessee after Alexander and his
family were killed? Kings Mountain was fought in 1780 and this Moses died in 1802,
some 22 years after.
