The history you describe is not familiar to me. However, I've copied
and included communications with Mary Morton regarding her search. It
may be helpful to you. My cousin, Sherry Cavin Walker, has done
considerable family research and can be reached at 9020 128th Ave NE,
Kirkland, WA 98033. Best of luck. CJC

I know this is a long shot - but I am trying to trace the CAVIN line on
my
father's side.
Robert Cavin, age 80 from NC was living with his daughter, Jane and
husband
William Campbell in Walton (Tipton Twp) Cass Co IN in 1870.
William Campbell & Jane Cavin were married in Fulton Co IL 30 May 1857.
If you are not interested in family history, perhaps you have a family
historian in your family that could perhaps help me locate the parent's
of
Robert Cavin from NC born @ 1790.
Thank you for reading my post.

Cathleen,
I had some cousins in Central Point, Oregon - Earl CAVIN, Jr. b 13 Aug
1919 in Johnson County, TX. Died 3-16-71 in Central Point. He married
Faye Delores MOORE. James W. CAVIN b 2 Dec 1921 in Johnson County, TX,
died 21 Jul 1988 in L.A. County, CA. His social security card was
issued in Oregon. He married (1) Charlotte BEELBY (2) Ella Mae WRIGLEY.
Edwin George CAVIN b 31 Mar 1924 in Johnson County, TX, died 26 Mar 1978
in Medford, Oregon. Married Vernie SMITH. If any of these names ring a
bell, I have further info on the families.
Regards,
Mary
Mary: No recognition of your Cavin names at family reunion. Sorry. My
aunt noted that Earl, James and Edwin were born in the same period of
time as were she and her siblings ( she was born in 1921, my dad was
born in 1927. He was the 5th of 8 births, 4 of the eight are still
living including, gratefully, my father). My cousin, Sherry Cavin
Walker has done a lot of research in Baker, Oregon, and she found none
of the names to be familiar.
