Dia Dhuit!
Hello to All!
I've just visited a genealogy site that I haven't been to in some time.
It is really a good looking site that is easily navigated and is very
informative. At this point, however, I am only one of two CAVIN's there
that I could find. Some of you may have already heard of it and visited
there. For the rest of you the site is called "Genealogy Gateway to the
Web". Its' address is:
http://www.polaris.net/~legend/mainsite.htm
It is hosted by Steve Lacey who is a fantastic Webmaster. Check it out
when you get a chance.
While I'm here, I would like to wish all of you a very Happy St.
Patrick's Day. "ERIN GO BRAGH!" Enjoy the revelry, but have a safe
one. Just not too much of the poteen.
Another thing that I'd like to bring up is....how many ways can CAVIN be
spelled? I've seen CAVIN(S),CAVAN(S), CAVEN(S), KAVIN(S), KAVAN(S),
KAVEN(S), and many other variations in the spelling. How about posting
some of the spellings that you have seen. My personal favorite is that
CAVIN is a derivative of CAVANAGH (et al). This is what I wish, because
right now, I have no earthly idea where it comes from.
Our list continues to grow...a subscriber here...a subsriber there.
When I haven't had eMail problems (that's another story for another
day), I've been out "recruiting" potential subscribers to CAVIN-L. Im
getting some good responses from other CAVIN Researchers out there, and
that's why I've been kind of silent the past few weeks.
Well, gotta run for now. Let the List know of your CAVIN spellings and
let me know of any other topic that you would like to see discussed
here.
Beir bua agus beannacht (Best wishes)
Slån go foille (bye for now)
