It has been a few years since I posted this, so I am resending for those of
you who missed it. Early census records indicate that my John Cavin, of
Wilkinson county, MS, was born in SC. He could have been the grandson of
this John Cavin, or even Moses. THIS IS NOT PROVEN, JUST A GUESS.
My John Cavin had a brother named Moses, who also came to Wilkinson county,
MS.
