my cousins out there. Following is my line of Cavins:
(1) JOHN CAVIN, SR.......Born 4 Sep 1761 in Rowan County (what is now
Iredell County)......Died on 15 Aug 1839......Married Jane Young (born in
1760) on March 3, 1785......Andrew Ramsey present at their marriage.
He fought in Revolutionary War, under Capt. Falls, Capt. Enochs, Major
Harris, and Col. Harrington, and others serving at Charleston and Camden,
taken prisoner by British 12 May 1780 and released through exchange. Gives
Samuel Cavin and William Falls of his neighborhood respecting his service.
