Howdy All!
I am trying to find the connection between my line of CAVINs with that
of other CAVINs in NC.
Particularly, my 3rdGreatGrandFather, ROBERT CAVIN, of Alexander Co., NC
(which was formally part of Iredell, Co., NC). He was in Iredell Co. in
1811, for his first son, ROBERT WINSTON CAVIN, was born there that year,
in or around Hiddenite, NC (which now is in present day Alexander Co.,
NC).
There seems to be at least two branches of the CAVIN Family in this
area. Maybe one or two more...don't know. As I said above, my branch
seems to centered in the present day Alexander Co. (old part of Iredell
Co.), while the other(s) seem to be centered in the present day Iredell
Co., somewhere around the Statesville/Troutman, NC area.
I have seen a JOHN and JANE (YOUNG) CAVIN in the branch that is in the
Statesville/Troutman, NC area (Iredell Co.). I have also seen a JAMES
MONROE CAVIN in this area, too. Hiddenite, Alexander Co., NC, is
geographically located not that far away from Statesville, Iredell Co.,
NC. There must be a connection somewhere.
I know that some of you are doing research of your CAVINs in these
areas. Those that are, would you please be so kind as to help me make
this connection? It would be too coincidental for these branches to be
in the same area of NC, around the same time, and not be related. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance and have a
Happy and Safe Memorial Day.
Kindest Regards,
