I am looking for Cavins who were in the Gainesville (Cooke County) area of
North Texas in the late 1800's. My grandfather Archie Grace Cavins was born
in 1884 and his brother Courtland (C.L.) was older. A sister, Marguerite,
was the oldest child and died at 6 mos. We do not know their father's given
name. We only have pictures that say "Chick" on the back. My father
believes that his grandmother's maiden name was Shepperd (sp?). If anyone
can help we would appreciate it.
Cathy Cavins

Are you looking for Cavin or Cavins? If you are looking for Cavins, I
have
all the names you listed in some of my records. My name is Sandy Cavins

to
have a copy of this book to see if it could possible help me. My
great
grandfather was Benjamin Cavins and his father was Samuel Cavins. I have
hit a dead end with the cavins line. I hope you can help! I've been
telling everyone I think he was just hatched under a rock.
