Hi Les,
Have just subscribed to the Cavin Mail-list after reading your queries on
Genforum and also the archived Cavin Mail-list queries.
Am researching Elizabeth Cavin b 1830 TN md 2-1-1846 Unk Co. TN. to
Josephus Smith b. 1824-26 TN. and appear on 1850 Giles Co., TN. census then
the 1860 Panola Co., TX. census with exact same ages, places, children.
On a posting from your on your Cavin Mail-list (1999 archive) is a
message in which you refer to a gentleman from Texas who privately emailed
you his descendant chart, which you posted in that message. It descends
(1)
Samuel Cavin (2)Robert Cavin (3)William Cavin (4)Robert Cavin (5)
Elizabeth
Cavin b. 1830 TN md 1846 Josephus Smith b. 1826 TN. He noted after this #5
"
My bunch".
Since you did not post the name of this gentleman from Texas, the
submitter of that above info in that message, I assume he did not want his
name posted. Is it possible that you could contact this gentleman and ask
him if he woud contact me at Dolyta(a)aol.com (Donna Taylor, Panola Co., TX.
) I would like to exchange info with him on our probable mutual line.
If you would like to post this on the Cavin Mail-list you may do
so
as I would like to exchange info with anyone having knowledge of
these
folks,
especially if they have knowledge of Josephus and Elizabeth (Cavin)
Smith's
possible daughters Susannah Smith who md 1st Levi Carson and 2nd Leroy S.
Sanford in Winn Parish, La. before moving on to Panola Co., TX. Also their
possible daughter Mollie (may be nickname) md Thomas Jefferson Bounds in
Panola Co., TX. Also a son Brook Smith of Panola Co., TX. If these
children do not belong to Josephus and Elizabeth (Cavin) Smith, they are
definetly related to them.
Thanks for your time and effort.
Donna Taylor
PS. Les, tried to connect to your personal webpage address and
received messg that it did not exist. Has it been changed? If so what
address
please. Also, as you can see, I attempted to send this mssg first to
you privately but it was returned. Have you a new email address?
