My Gr-Mo Fannie Jackson's father was said to be Jay Jackson. My 92 year old uncle
recalls him as Jay and I can remember my grandmother referring to him as Jesse JACKSON, he
was md to Mary Gable/Gabel. I found her as a widow in the 1880 Newton Co., MO census with
a 6 mo old son named Jay, and 4 daughters. She was said to be the d/o of Barnibus GABLE in
Leavenworth Co., KS, he is listed with a dau named Mary in the 1860 census.I have searched
for years for my grandmother, Frances (Frankie/Fannie) Elizabeth JACKSON b 9 Sep 1875/6
Joplin, MO, said to have lived near Galveston, TX, she md in 1899 Nowata, Indian
Territory, OK to R. P. (Richard Persus) NICHOLS.Her gr-gr-mo was said to be named Mollie
CUSHIONBERRY.
Could there be a connection to your line? I would love to hear from you.
TIA, Helen @Hewick
