Thanks -- I really do appreciate all the trouble you went to!!!! Would you
mind telling me about George and Elizabeth? I don't have any idea who they
were.
Thanks in advance,
Charlotte

In checking the "book" (it is just a typed memographed
book 61 pages that
traces the children from George and Elizabeth - Just names and chldren -
At one
of the CAVEN family reunions they all donated enough money to have
the
research done and the book typed - This was approx 30 years ago - Don't
know if
they
had an updated one now.
I did find James Caven (child of George & Elizabeth mentioned on the web
site)
had a child named William N. Caven...Nothing else is mentioned other than
he
was born - does not even give a date.
I did find a William McKinney Caven born - 2/27, 1833 that came from
our
line - of John Arnett it states:
Mr. William Caven came to Kansas from Illinois in 1857 and filed a claim
along the Verdigris River in Wilson County among the Osage Indians,
trading with
then for a period. He went back to Illinios. In 1860 he sold out
his
interest
in the home farm in Ohio, then in 1861, he went with a wagon train to
Salt
Lake City, Utah. One account say the three brothers, William, Arnett and
James,
together with Isaac Landis, a boy raised in the Caven family, went to
the
Odaho gold fields near Shoshone Falls from Illinios is 1864.
Unforn. the little typed book i have just folllows James' brother John
Arnett
Caven as that is where our line comes from.
Have you tried looking on the Mormon Site - You can get a lot of
information
there
If i can be of further assist. let me know
