I have found the name spelled as Cavin, Caven, Cavan, and even Carven.
Sometimes the above variations have an "s" added.
I would really like to have a copy of the book you mention. Would you
please tell me where to purchase one, if they're still available? Is there
is any information in the book about William or Joseph Cavin, ca. 1750
through 1840 in Virginia and Tennessee?
I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
Charlotte

My maiden name was CAVEN and I am from Misssissippi - Chicksaw County.
(caven was often misspelled as Cavin) There could be a connection. The
link above
is a CAVEN link from Ireland to my group in Misssissippi (page 5,6)
I do
have
a book of more detail of the other lines from the Origional George
and
Elizabeth. I will see if I can find anything on the name you gave. If
you have
any
other information it may be helpful
Hope this helps!
