Surname: Cavin
-------------------------
I am searching for descendants of Cavin families that resided in Texas.
My husband's grandfather's name was Arlen Dale Cavin. A.D.'s siblings were
Hobson Cavin and Ruby Cavin. We know that these children are the children
of their father's second (or more?) marriage. The mother was significantly
younger than the father and apparently died when this last "batch" of
children
were young. Their mother's maiden name was Hamilton.
It is highly possible that A.D., Hobson, and Ruby's father and an earlier
bride and offspring lived in Burnet County, Texas, at one point. (We were
in contact with someone who is related to a Hobson Cavin who moved to
Burnet
County, Texas, but so far, despite the unusual name of Hobson, we
have
not been able to make a connection.)
We know my husband's grandfather (A.D.) lived in the west Texas panhandle
for some time with his father and mother, his two siblings, and some (all?)
of his half-siblings. After the death of A.D.'s father, his mother, her
three children, and probably some of A.D.'s half-siblings moved to
Colorado.
Can anyone connect to this family?
