There is an older cemetery, although I don't recall seeing the name America Cavin on
any of the headstones. If you stand facing Mars Hill Methodist Church, there is a dirt
road to the left, just a short ways down the road (less than .5 miles) there will be a
cemetery on the right. Some of the headstones are very crudely made and hard to make out.
I will probably go there in the next few weeks and will look for America's headstone.
Do you think William is also buried there?

I found of listing for America Cavin buried in a cemetery at Mars Hill. My great
grandmother was named America Cavin and she died around 1897 someplace in Missouri. I
went to the grave yard but could not find any head stone for her. I believe her maiden
name was Collins and she married William Cavin. Does anyone know of this Cavin? Do you
think I did not see all the headstones? I don't remember seeing a "path down a
hill behind the church".
