I have a JOSEPH MARION CAVIN (January 14, 1846 - November 15, 1931) who
married Mary A. (Roxy) Wood (Abt. 1855 - March 24, 1916) who are buried
at Springfield or Fair Grove, Greene Co, MO. I have him at Springfield
and her at either Springfield or Fair Grove.
Do you think we are speaking of the same people? There are some
differences in names, but.....
Joseph Marion Cavin was the son of William Clinton Cavin and Patience
Delacy Burdett. William Clinton Cavin was the son of Joseph Cavin and
Polly Keele.
I think I can help with one of the names you mentioned. ALEX BECKERDITE
married HANNAH CAVIN, August 09, 1860, Polk Co, MO. Hannah MARGARET
Cavin was the daughter of Joseph Cavin and Hannah Keele (second wife of
Joseph Cavin). I am not POSITIVE the is the same Hannah that is the
dtr. of Joseph and Hannah, but I feel pretty sure it is. Alex was in
the 4th Missouri Infantry, Co. G. I do not have any of their children,
but they would be easy to find through census records.
I hope some of this helps.
