This would be very helpful. I'm trying to trace my GG-pa. P.Kinsley may have a lead,
along with my cousin E.Magowin.
If your pistures are digital, you can send them to me at "four750(a)msn.com" Put
in the "subj" line something about cavin cemetary pictures, so I won't think
it's junk mail and delete it.
I may finally have some info, prior to my GG-pa.
I am still trying to determine where the name originates from: ie; old Irish Gaelic;
variatin of Scottish "Cavens"; or a variation of French "Cavan."
I've looked in all the heraldry, pearage, etc books in 3 different county libraries.
They all point to these 3 different directions as being the posible source.
The only thing I know is that it has nothing to do with County Cavan, Ireland.
There are many "Cavin" families in southeast Ireland. I have tried to contact
them through the internet. As of yet, no one has contacted me back.
