Thank you for your response. However, in the meantime I have been able to
determine that my Great Great Grandmother's maiden name was Shaffer, and not
Caven. The family used it as a first name and I don't know where it
originated. Maybe there was a very dear friend or brother-in-law by that
name. But it seems that the Shaffers were possibly from Louisiana and/or
Mississippi.
So, I guess I can't help you with your search as I don't have any of those
names.

My husband is a descendant of Joseph CAVIN and Hannah KEAL through their
dau., Sarah A.E. CAVIN BURDETT [1833-1899]. They settled in Polk County,
MO, and we have just been to Union Grove Cemetery in Polk Co., last week.
We took pics of some of the Cavins buried there. Let me know if I can
help.
Am also investigating Joseph and Hannah, and any solid documentation that I
can find. Looking for Bible Records, marriage licenses, etc.
