CAVIN JANICE DITLER JOHNSON Sept. 25, 1955, to April 8, 2003 In loving memory of Janice
who died from a cerebral aneurysm at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana.Janice was born at Quintar Hospital in San Diego, California. She moved to
Louisiana with her 2nd husband, J.D. Johnson, in 1983. Janice attended Pepper Drive
Elementary, Santana High School, and Grossmont College. Janice began her career in
dentistry with Dr. William Helps in La Mesa Calif., and continued on that path to become
an orthodontic technician. Her last job was with Dr. Larry Foster, in Walker, La. Janice
is survived by her husband Rick Cavin, of Walker, La., and her son Joshua Johnson,
currently stationed at the Army base in Ft. Bragg, N.C. She is also survived by her
widowed mother, Shirley Anzai of Escondido, Ca.; her father Gene Ditler and stepmother
Ruth Ditler of La Mesa, Ca.; her brother Ken Ditler and his family of Minnesota; her
sister Doreen Hall-Osborne and her family of Gras!
s Valley, Ca.; her brother David of Ft. Worth, Texas; her sister Dee Ditler-Prindle and
husband of El Cajon, Ca.; her sister Barbara Ditler-Gelber and husband of Carlsbad, Ca.;
her grandmother Lorraine Ditler of La Mesa, Ca.; and numerous other relatives in San Diego
County, Louisiana, and other parts of the United States. Janice chose to be an organ donor
as well as donating her beautiful long brown hair to St. Jude ' s to be used to make a
wig for a cancer victim. She was as generous in death as she was in life. Janice Doreen
Ditler Johnson Cavin will be missed and always remembered as a loving, kind, and happy
spirit. Private services were held at her home on April 12, 2003. In lieu of flowers,
please make a contribution to your favorite charity.
