George Edward Henderson
Sept. 12, 1947 - Feb. 4, 2001
Services for George Edward Henderson, 54, of Natchez, who died Sunday,
Feb. 4, 2001, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at George F. West
Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Winston Cemetery under the direction of George F. West
Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Henderson was born Sept. 12, 1947, in Adams County, the son of Claude
and Bertha Henderson.
He was a member of St. Mary Baptist Church, and he attended Sadie V.
Thompson School.
Survivors include his parents, Bertha Henderson and Claude Henderson; one
sister and her husband, Cornelia and Eugene Butler of Milwaukee, Wis.;
one son, George E. Henderson Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers and their
wives, David and Bertha Henderson of Peoria, Ill., and Melvin and Linda
Henderson and Mechell and Maryland Henderson, all of Milwaukee; one
uncle; two aunts; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Gladys M. Cavin
May 7, 1914 - Feb. 7, 2001
Services for Gladys M. Cavin, 86, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Feb. 7,
2001, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Laird
Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Tony Pitts officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction
of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cavin was born May 7, 1914, in Rosetta, the daughter of John Melvin
and Almeda Ashley Murray.
She was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Jean Rentfro of Lincoln, Neb., Louise
Skidmore of Golden Meadow, La. and JoAnn Hanson of Yuma, Colo.; one son,
William Jennings Cavin of Las Vegas.; 10 grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren.
The family request memorials be made to the charity of choice.
