Hello folks:
Thought I'd get while the getting is hot... :)
I've reached a brick wall on my Great Grandfather:
William Jesse Cavin b. 1872 d. 1959
m. Lula Savage 1898 in Baker, Oregon
children:
1. Ora Cavin 1900
2. Albert L. Cavin 1902-1989
3. Jesse J. Cavin 1904-1925
4. Alexander B. Cavin b. 1906-1973
5. Myrtle Jane Cavin b. 1909
6. William Floyd Cavin b. 10/19/1912-02/1986 **my
grandfather**
born in Klamathon, California
7. Frank Cavin 1914-1957
8. Lula Cavin 1916-1918
9. Guy Neal Cavin 1918-1918 died @ 6 mo's
There are family rumors that William Jesse Cavin's father was Alexander
Cavin. I have found nothing beyond "Jesse's" marriage cert to my Great
Grandmother. It is said that the family crossed the prairie by wagon apprx
1866 to settle in Eastern Oregon, all of which is a very old story written by
an aunt of mine many many many years ago. Her account is very shakily
written and at times excrutiatingly confusing. I have been unable to verify
anything... Please help this drowning historian if you can.... :)
Angela
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
