Lanita, Have you ever seen the cemetery? I was there about 20+ years
ago, I was told that the cemetery had been vandalized, when I got there
it was people it was the cows. They had strung rope up for cows to walk
under to take off the flies. There was no fence at that time. I bet by
now it's really in bad shape. It was hard to read then. Where do you
live? I'm in Springfield. grace
Grace,
Yes, we were at the cemetery last year. The owner had fenced off the
cemetery from the field where his cattle roam. It has a gate and is
accessable if we can get the new owner's permission to go on his land.
My husband and I tried to get some cleaning done but it is too much for
2 people, and we didn't bring chainsaws with us.. Don't know about
vandalism, but once we get it cleaned, it would be easier to keep that
way with the cows not being allowed to roam on the graves.
We are in Wichita, KS, but folks live at Bolivar. My husband's family
are in Pleasant Hope.
