Funeral services for James A. CAVE, 89, formerly a longtime resident
of LaGrange will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home,
310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. Ouk-Yean Kim Jueng officiating.
Born July 17, 1909 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of James F. and Pearl
Andre CAVE, he died Saturday Dec 5, 1998 in Sherman Hospital. Burial
will be private in Bronswood Cemetery, Oak
Brook.
An Army veteran, Mr. CAVE was employed as a sales manager for Outdoor
Life magazine for 20 years before retiring. He had been a member of
the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. Survivors include his
daughter, Marilyn (Bill) PIPENBRINK of Mitchellville, MD; son, Dexter
(Connie) CAVE of Elgin; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kathleen and Melissa
PIPENBRINK and James and Brittany Cave and a brother Robert (Barbara)
CAVE of Burlington, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara
(nee FISH) whom he married July 26, 1940 and who passed away in 1991;
his parents and his son, Jeffrey.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services today at
the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the University of Illinois
Athletic Fund.

Funeral service and interment for June Ramser CAVE, 76, formerly of
Wayne, will be private. There wil be a memorial visitation from 5-7
p.m. at the Millcreek Country Club in Geneva. She died
Thursday January 28, 1999 at her home after a long illness.
She attended Northwestern University and the Art Institute of Chicago
before marrying Robert V. CAVE in 1944. After the war, they settled
in Wayne where they lived for more than 40 years. In the early 1970s,
she became executive director of the Chicago Maternity Center who
helped pioneer the concept of birthing rooms in the hospital prenatal
units.
She is survived by daughter Dianna (Tom) LENAHAN of West New York, New
Jersey; son Robert
(Marjorie) CAVE of St. Charles; daughter, Jan (Phillip) FOLSOM of
Rindge, New Hampshire and 5 grandchildren: Conan GRIFFIN, Ashley,
Charlie and Mimi CAVE and Sarah FOLSOM.
