While surfing I also found a Haydon lineage that has Ezekiel Haydon
marrying Polly Merit. Their daughter, Charity "Katy" Haydon married
Reuben Cave and their #6 child was Merit Cave. Don't know if you
had this info or not, but I'm enclosing it along with other pages from the
internet.
I'll be sending off the envelope one day this week. It'll go 'book rate'

"Rev. Richard Cave: A soldier at Bryant's Station of Fort Kentucky. He was a
defender of the fort when the seige began. Richard Cave, his wife Elizabeth
and their children: Rueben, Hannah, and Polly were present."

seige of Bryant Station, Kentucky when it was attacked by Indians under the
renegade Simon Girty in August, 1782, (see Bryant Station: "Heroes and
