Sorry, I have lost some of the listmasters addresses! I wanted to pass this
on as it is a gen related message:
Forwarded from the Shelby County, Indiana Roots-L:
I didn't know if you'd want to post this to the list, but
just thought
I should warn those who are into genealogy.
There is another virus going around. I got it attached to an
e-mail
from one of my husband's first cousins. Thank goodness I make it a habit
to
never open an attachment without having the sender verify it to me through
another e-mail. She confirmed to me that it was a virus that had gotten
into her
computer. Anyway, it said "I'm sending you my family
file. Would like
to have your opinion of it." Or something to that effect.
Included in the
name of the file was "FamilyTree." I should have written
down exactly
what it said, but instead I immediately deleted it from my mail and
from my
deleted file. Anyway, I just wanted to warn you about it.
Olive Lee
From Oklahoma
"The Heartland"
This one needs a look. Olive has been on the list for quite a while and I
know that she wouldn't generate a hoax. A couple of other people have also
gotten it. It's a new header for the "Hi, how are you?" virus. Thought you
might like to know.
Have a good one!
