*Fuzzy search can be helpful with uncommon names.
*Try running varied/creative searches ie.
1)spouse surnames only;
2)surname of one spouse/first name of other spouse;
3)surname only w/only year of birth
4)surname only w/only location of birth or death
6)surname only w/parent name <add birth year>
Please try many various misspellings to find all documents. Remember to check
for initials and common abrev:
Benjamin -- Benj.
James -- Jas.
Lawerence -- Lawr.
Robert -- Rbt.
Samuel -- Saml., Sam'l.
Edward -- Edw.
Thomas -- Thos.
William -- Wm.
Charles -- Chas.
John -- Jno.
Daniel -- Danl. / Dan'l.

**Also running various web searches have yielded some great results.**
Examples (use quotes):
"Daniel Lee Cavender" or "Daniel Lee Cavender"+location (ie. VA)
"Daniel L. Cavender"
"Daniel Cavender"
"Cavender, Daniel" [many records are indexed alphabetically]
Also run these same searches using all mis-spelling variations you know of.
-
try these also - sometimes you can locate a researcher working on the same line.
"Daniel Cavender" +descendants
"Daniel Cavender" +ancestors
I will keep your info. and contact you if I come across your ancestor.

I don't have the parents of Daniel Lee Cavender. I have been search for years for
them, and feel they may have orginated in VA, and that the Cavender name was orginally
Cavanagh. I have all of Daniel Lee's descendants and they all orginated in KY or MO.
There is a large Cavender clan orginating in Georgia, but that is not my family, and it is
probably the origin of all the Southern Cavenders.
